The Itireleng Shack Marking Project required a practical system for gathering accurate household information in the field and making that information usable for municipal planning.
Raltech Solutions collaborated with iProvide, an IT and consulting firm, to create and implement head-counting software for the City of Tshwane Municipality. The project was led by Vuka Africa Consulting Engineers, who were tasked with delivering accurate data on the total number of households in the Itireleng informal settlement in Pretoria for the City of Tshwane's Human Settlement Department.
The project required the software to be accessible online and on-demand, enabling field workers to gather statistical information about the number of residents in each dwelling during house-to-house visits.
Our solution was an information capture system designed for internet-enabled mobile devices, featuring image capturing, file uploading, and reporting capabilities.
